Weighing just 1.4lbs, Apple is calling this the lightest full-sized tablet ever. It’s powered by Apple’s A7 chip, the same chip found in the recently released iPhone 5S. With 64 bit desktop class architecture, this is the most powerful iPad to date. In fact, it is said to be 8 times faster than the first iPad in terms of CPU performance.

The feature list is extensive:

Retina display
5MP iSight Camera
1080HD Video
New HD FaceTime HD Camera with larger pixels
Improved backside illumination
Dual Microphones
10 Hour Battery Life
Expanded LTE Support

Prices start at $499 for the 16GB Wifi Version. It comes in silver and white or space grey and black. The iPad Air will be available at Apple stores world wide starting November 1. Sadly, the Philippines is not included in the official list but expect it to arrive soon.
