Updates from BlizzCon 2013



During the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2013 at Anaheim Convention Center, Blizzard revealed more info on their upcoming game and expansions.

Fans of the current Blizzards will rejoice with the new expansions showing new features, first is the highly anticipated expansion of Diablo III; Reaper of Souls will feature a new Paladin class, Adventure and Nephalem Rift modes, a new Mystic Artisan and the ability to enchant and transmogrify items.


A new expansion for their hit MMORPG World of Warcraft was announced as well, Warlords of Draenor will feature classic characters from the original Warcraft trilogy and other new features such as level cap increase to 100, the ability to boost your character to level 90, upgrading your garrison, new items, monster and quests.


And lastly, the most awaited game Heroes of the Storm; Blizzard’s very own MOBA game, which will include the fan favorite characters from their game franchises in a classic battle arena matchup.


They also announced the open beta launch on December for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, an online trading card game that will be available for the PC and mobile.


And finally and update for their upcoming Warcraft movie targeting a 2015 release, which will be directed by Duncan Jones. They’ve previewed concept arts for the known cities in Warcraft such as Stormwind of the Human Alliance, the Dwarven city of Ironforge and the realm of the Orcs at Draenor. Costume design will be handled by Mayes Rubeo; known for her works for Avatar and Apocalypto. Academy-award winner Bill Westenhofer will be the special effects supervisor.
