Techbox: Killer Tech Deals for Less
When people think about affordable tech deals, Greenhills is usually the first place that comes to mind. The problem with purchasing gadgets at “tech tiangges” like the ones found in Greenhills is that people often have to deal with the risk of buying grey market products. These products are either outright knock-offs of popular gadgets or come from questionable sources. In addition to this, consumers are often forced to choose between affordability and reliability. In the event that a recently purchased gadget breaks due to shoddy craftsmanship, many consumers are often at a loss when it comes to getting refunds or replacements. People who want reliable products with decent warranties are often forced to pay a lot of money in more traditional outlets such as malls and tech hubs. Bridging the gap between affordability and and reliable service is a problem that Techbox is trying to remedy.
What is Techbox?
Techbox is a relatively young retail company the seeks to provide high quality, branded tech products at affordable prices. While the company is just over a year old, it is backed by the TAO Corporation, one of the biggest companies in the country. Techbox started out as a small exhibit located in Alphaland, Magallanes offering products from HTC, Nokia and Lenovo. However, the initial success of the exhibit quickly prompted the company to open branches at a number of SM malls such as SM Sta. Rosa, SM Sta. Mesa and SM Pampanga. Due to popular demand, 19 more branches were opened in the months that followed. The company’s primary offerings include products from Lenovo, Nokia, LG and HTC. By working closely with actual representatives from these companies, Techbox can offer these original products at very competitive prices.
In addition to cellphones and smartphones, Techbox also offers a wide array of accessories such as cases, power banks, SD cards and flash drives. For example, one of Techbox more interesting offerings include the Armor-X Series of cellphone cases. These cases are very popular in Europe as an alternative to Otterbox cases. Otterbox cases are very expensive and in European markets, Armox-X and Otterbox cases are priced similarly. In the Philippines however, you would need to shell out a few thousand Pesos for an Otterbox case. If you want the same rugged protection that these cases offer, you could opt to go with an Armor-X case. We’re not sure how Techbox did it but they are offering Armor-X cases for a fraction of the cost of an Otterbox case.
If you are looking for a great way to make the most out of your hard earned cash, Techbox is a great alternative to getting your tech fix at Greenhills or other similar places. Aside from having a solid guarantee that you are purchasing original products, you get the added benefit of after sales support, something which is difficult to get from grey market stores. Aside from the locations mentioned above, Techbox also has branches in Gateway Cubao, SM Southmall, SM Clark, SM Novaliches, Sta. Lucia East, Antipolo, Cainta, Starmall Shaw and Marikina Riverbanks.
