H&M Opening Its Doors to Manila in 2014

H&M Store

After years of speculation of whether the popular clothing brand H&M (Hennes & Mauritz AB of Sweden) will open its stores in Manila, the company has finally confirmed the news through its website. Its flagship store will open in SM Megamall in 2014.

The Swedish-owned clothing retail chain carries six brands under its wing – H&M, Cheap Monday, Monki, COS, Weekday and Other Stories. It is also popular for its collaborations with high-end designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Lanvin, Sonia Rykiel and Isabel Marant, as well as celebrities like Kylie Minogue and Beyonce. H&M is the second largest clothing retailer in the world with a total of 3,000 stores across 53 markets across the globe.

Hopefully the lines wouldn’t be as bad as the opening for Uniqlo and Forever21. Fingers crossed that they’ll still carry the Isabel Marant for H&M line that’s been selling out like pancakes in the US and the UK.

Will you be dropping by the H&M flagship store?
